Batman is Really - WHO?!

Ok, yes, I know! Its' f...in ridiculous! But it is also damn funny! And you must know by now that I just can not resist this type of weirdness. So, what is the setup? What if Cookie Monster's alter ego was.....Batman?

I like it. I like it a lot better than Nolan's Dark Knight stuff. Okay I admit, I'm probably the only one that doesn't like the Dark Knight movies. That's why I liked this so well. This was funnier than the entire script put together he had for Ledger's Joker.
I'm sure I'm in for it for that one.

Ledger was an interesting person no doubt. The Joker I grew up on was maniacal where Ledger played him as an amoral psychopath. Earlier Jokers were almost a yin yang to Bruce Wayne's alter ego. I have to say I liked Keith's character, but I really never bought into him as the Joker.

That was my point as well there. One of the things I am always saying, was that he had no fun. The joker, in every rendition has always had a lot of fun, at everyone elses expense. It just seemed to me that he was kind of dead pan, and had no real sense of humor. They could have kept him dark, and still kept that warped psychotic humour. Without that, he just isn't the joker to me.

EXACTLY!!! It was always at someone else's expense. But he was having a wonderful time. I can't place where I heard this but the Joker in one of his more sane moments says "you need me" "I complete you" and think about it...would Harlequin every go for Keith's Joker really? Now I am basing this on the animated series which showed their complex relationship, but it is clear she is drawn to the absolute chaos around Joker. Very interesting dynamic that.

You know, I always sort of prefer anime to live action. (Especially after what they did to my DBZ, and to Avatar The Last Air Bender.)
I'm guessing these hollywood people think only little kids or one or two people follow it.
Speaking of which, just recently what someone said really worried me. When they caught that guy in new york, and he said he was a Joker. He didn't say "The Joker." He said "A Joker" as in Batman Beyond. I'm still wondering about that one even now. In that anime, the Jokers were a gang, not one person. They tried to emulate the joker who was long gone. My first thought on hearing that was, oh shit. Especially when in the entire article, and all the comments, no one seemed to get that. Hopefully I'm wrong, but in this day and age, who knows.

Yep, well you know I have been an anime fan for years. And I do remember that piece, it wasn't from the animated series though...right? One of the one of the Japanese / American collaborations wasn't it?

Actually, Batman Beyond is an entirely american venture done with DC comics.
I originally thought that it was japan as well that did it, but it wasn't. It was actually Warner Brothers that did that series. I was surprised too when I found that out.
And that is where I know "The Jokers" from. They may have showed up elsewhere as well, I'm just not aware of it, yet.

Supposed to be spelled Jokerz, sorry.

that is a surprising! The look had the look of Japanese Anime that I just assumed that there was an animator in the mix somewhere. Huh...

I never saw it in print so I didn't even know better. Not going to sweat the small stuff! lol
