Yeah, me too. Always loved my Siamese kitties. We have critters everywhere, including 2 rats.
I grew up in the woods making friends with wild animals all the time, or rescuing something.
And kitties are such a help when trying to write, or do research to write. Especially when he decides it's bed time.
But I did name my dog Namek. For pic's home planet, DBZ. I told you i loved bad movies etc. I'm one of the few to actually enjoy STARCRASH. Yeah I know, believe me, I know. But a robot with a Texan accent, and it had Caroline Munroe. She was worth watching the movie for.
I think I have a serious obsession with bad "B" movies like that. I even liked Doctor Detroit.
rural mid coast maine so we had whatever we could find....we even had a chicken that fell off the truck on its way to the processing plant....mice....we had a pet vole that kept getting out of its cage and trying to sleep in my bed...which wouldn't have been so bad but the damn thing would run back and forth all night long...ducks, geese, mice...barely got away with the mice because my father was phobic about rodents....I wanted a white Norwegen they get big enough to walk on leaches!
