If you are interested in all aspects of a shuttle mission you will like this, or if like me your interested and live in a coastal fishing village and you just like to see the boats in action...check it out:

Your welcome John! my brother from another mother! lol. Yeah, there was something about seeing that guy standing in a boat practically inside the nozzle. I had seen the films from the launches of the SRBs from launch to splash-down, but I was hopelessly stuck in the Apollo days...I really wondered how many days they floated around...ha! who knew?!

Yeah, there is just so much going on... You've got maritime science... Advanced rocket science, tracking, navigation, diving, hydro dynamics, water displacement, etc... Basically everything that's freaking awesome all in 1 package. Honestly... I think those men love their jobs and I think it's quite evident in the film. hahaha.

Yeah... I'd much rather land in a shuttle than be dropped in the ocean in a capsule.

Oh my sentiments exactly John!
Gear down has a much nicer ring. As for dropped into the ocean, Lets remember now it's the steppes of Kazakhstan right?

LOL yeah, as apposed to what...

"Brace for impact" ROFL

Steppes of Kazakhstan ahahh, I hope they brought some tenge! Hey, I just made a double entendre!!!

some tenge Oh John you are going to pun hell for that! lol

Every time I think of one of these things coming in all I can think of is that line Bill Paxton delivered in one of the Alien movies when the Marines are "dropped" in. His character describes the drop as a "roller coaster ride to hell!" and then the bottom drops out and they are hurtling towards the ground. Even watching the movie I was starting to heave.....
