Traitor/Coward/Hero = Thank you.

Well, this one went south real fast. What was supposed to be a tribute to Lost In Space, (the original), and the impact it had on a lot of us went a little bit sideways. A guy on you tube sent me a link to a list, and i went searching for more, and here we go.
Forget John, and Don, and the rest of them. No need to discuss why a man would send his teenage blonde daughter into the desert with a pilot here, or a few other things.
This is about the true, the real, the one and the only Doctor Zachery Smith, the true hero of that show. And I can prove it.
If it hadn't been for Smith, the show would have maybe lasted a season. Therefore, Smith is the true hero, so pppttthhhhh. LOL.
Yeah I know, but we all came to love that lunatic, and he is seriously the most remembered cast member from that show, except for the Robot, and maybe Will.
But Smith's insults were one of the things we all waited for each episode, especially when they were aimed at the Robot. And basically they always were, except for a few times. However, here is a list, partial I am sure, of some of the insults he used for the Robot.

Thank you Jonathan Harris.

The numbers in ()'s are how many times it was said. As for the insult list itself, I couldn't find an agreement anywhere on how many times it was said.
And to be honest, even if I had the time to sit down and watch them all right now, I'd forget to keep track of them anyway. I'd be so busy laughing my arse off, I'd lose track and be starting over every half hour.

Smith was someone you loved to hate...for me, I could tell what the tone of next week's show would be by how loud and drawn out Smith's scream would be. If it was long and drawn out horror then you knew you were in for some good stuff next week for sure!

My only bad moment with the show was when Harris and Mumy did an "anniversary" show...No one looked like they wanted to be there and the robot was a tattered mess. They hadn't even bothered to prep the damn thing...whoever was doing the robot was out of sync with the voice. The quips Harris was so well known for seemed strained and contrived, the cuts were great and I loved the history but with both stars obviously working for a paycheck just left me tired and sad

Mummy especially. Harris was old, and you could see there he didn't look in to good of health.
Can't say for sure of course.
Someone I did admire was Jonathan Frid, (the one and only Barnabas in my book). He kept going to the Dark Shadows conventions until his health finally stopped him.
He was one of the few that stayed with his fans throughout the years.

Forgot to mention, it's on metv on Saturdays at 8. They'rein the 3rd season now though. When things really went from crazy to batty.

OFF TOPIC! lol I think before science fiction really set its hooks in me, I was a closet Dark Shadows fan. Yeah Frid was the man for one reason, he owned his character. There was never any question that he owned this complex and mysterious person.
