Pentagon's Possible Stealth UFO Cargo Craft?

Am I wrong or is this the Skunkwrks version of the zombie project?  It seems I have seen this or something damn similar thought up, brought up, shut down, thrown out - before.  from people carriers to who knows what.....but anyway, here it is again, for the first time.

What we have here is craft developed by Aeroscraft for the "Pentagon".  The Pelican is a 230-foot-long prototype airship designed to lift up to 10 tons of cargo, using a fraction of the fuel used by an airplane.  Oh and it just "happens" to look like a UFO.....  The Pentagon also feels the craft would be very good for use in surveillance and reconnaissance. (reeeeeeeeeeally....ha.....no kidding)

Pelican is for the most part proof of concept and the find craft would be 450-feet long and have the ability to carry up to 66 tons of cargo, possibly of far greater distances.

Declassified Flying Saucers!

This ought to be fun!  From the National Archives NDC blog I spy this little goodie!
  • Recently declassified records from the Aeronautical Systems Division, USAF
  •  reveal some ... perhaps never-before-seen images.
Those words and the above illustration, are contained in a document called "Project 1794, Final Development Summary Report” (d.1956)

The pages describe a project bye the USAF and a Canadian company Avro Aircraft Limited in Ontario.  Avro was contracted to construct a disk-shaped craft.

The design specs. were amazing even for today and in the 50s practically unheard of.  The craft would be designed to:
  • a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) plane designed to reach a top speed of Mach 4, with a ceiling of over 100,000 feet, and a range of over 1,000 nautical miles.
The NDC article says that the other design graphics show a craft that was very similar to those in the UFO movies of the time.

The balance of the article can be found here

The Truth about Area 51?

Annie Jacobsen, a contributing editor at the Los Angeles Times Magazine, interviewed individuals who used to work at Area 51, a group of people (she) described ... as a "formerly secret group of scientists, engineers and physicists. In her new book, Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base, she says there is a very good reason Area 51 wasn't acknowledged by the government. Not because they DID have aliens and alien spacecraft, but often because of some of the things that DID go on there which was way more scary. In her interviews she uncovered secret "safety test" :
  • which covered everything from crashing a plane carrying a nuclear device to detonating nukes in orbit. Objectives ranged anywhere from seeing how humans would be affected in the resulting irradiated zones to testing nukes as a means to power spaceflight.
The military:
  • was curious about installing missile installations in orbit and on otherworldly bodies.
(Yeah, I think that means like missiles on the moon)

But as Jacobsen puts it,
  • the real whopper involved the German Horten brothers who were into building experimental planes for the Nazi party. The brothers were working on a flying disk design in 1942. After Germany surrendered in 1945 the US wanted the pair desperately. In 1947 one of the craft the brothers build crashed in the US. (Oh wait it gets weirder) The disks were said to have lift off and hover capabilities and weirder still the pilots (due likely to design constraints) were children around the age of 13. That weird enough for ya? Want more? ok, the child sized pilots according to eye witness accounts in Jacobsen's interviews, were the result of a Soviet human experimentation program,"
(oh I am so close to calling BS on this all ready!)
  • "and they had been made to look like aliens using "genetic and surgical" procedures.
(cough cough bull s.... cough)

Why would they do this you ask? (ok the ones of you that are not wearing tinfoil beanies) Jacobsen scenario has it that:
  • the Soviets were hoping to recreate the mass hysteria caused by the radio broadcast of War of the Worlds
So that is why Area 51 is classified? Because a plane shaped like a UFO piloted by children surgically altered to look like aliens by a secret Soviet laboratory all with the intention of causing mass panic in the USA crash landed in the middle of America?! And area 51 is keeping it under wraps as we speak? What? NO!?
  • It's secret because apparently American officials saw these tests and decided to conduct human experiments of their own.
So they started a black ops, as Annie Jacobsen puts it: "horrific rogue program,"

oh ok, now it makes sense.....

So, want to read the complete story about this insanity and links to her interview on NPR, and you want it all now? then click the on the Device link - here

Santa Monica Bay UFOs give you wings!

Earlier this months, residents of Santa Monica Bay were startled when, in the dark, two brightly lit UFOs appeared and maneuvered overhead. Some residents filmed the craft, posting them on Utube, starting a firestorm of other residents who also witnessed the event.

All this came to the attention of Jon DeVore and Sean MacCormac of the crack Red Bull Air Force skydiving team. From the Daily Galaxy blog:
  • on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 around 5:30 p.m. the two man team decided to jump out of an airplane with night flares. The demonstrations (took place) over Santa Monica ..... landing on the beach near the Jonathan Club on Pacific Coast Highway. "As soon as I saw the videos on the news I busted up laughing,"(Jon) DeVore wrote on redbullairforce.com, which also includes footage of one of the jumps. "It was us jumping with our night flares."
You can't make this stuff up! lol

Unidentified Objects a Threat?

Barry sends in a thought provoking piece from the op/ed section of the New York Times. First it brings up what could be massive holes in the U.S.' terrorist barrier and the dichotomy of the system at identifying a threat! From the Times:
  • ON the afternoon of Nov. 7, 2006, pilots and airport employees at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago saw a disc-like object hovering over the tarmac for several minutes. Because nothing was tracked on radar, the Federal Aviation Administration did not investigate. Yet radar is not a reliable detector of all aircraft. Stealth planes are designed to be invisible to radar, and many radar systems filter out signals not matching the normal characteristics of aircraft. Did it really make sense to entirely ignore the observations of several witnesses?
It's fine to have a healthy skepticism concerning U.F.O.s Many have easily explained as mis-identifications of stars and planets, aircraft lights, satellites and meteors, but some cases have raised national security or air safety issues. On Dec. 26, 1980, for instance, several witnesses at two American Air Force bases in England reported seeing a U.F.O. land and on 2 occasions shine bright lights into sensitive areas on the base, a obvious breach of security. Under any other circumstances an incursion of a base would bring an immediate and massive response, but any hint of UFO and the incident is completely ignored. Again, near misses with commercial or military craft are thoroughly investigated unless of course they are reported as a close encounter with a UFO.

It would almost seem that for a terrorist to be successful he doesn't need to engage in subterfuge but merely to have himself identified as a UFO to gain access to some of the most sensitive areas on the Earth.

Town recalls heyday of UFO sightings

Nelson was listening to show 80 and it seems it rang a bell for him. This is what he wrote

" “Dave” mentioned Gulf Breeze. I happened to read this a couple days ago. Read a book on it, even. That town has quite a history."

and he sent me this link

http://www.miamiherald.com/news/florida/story/317768.html

this is the story blurb

Two decades ago, the area around the Florida Panhandle town of Gulf Breeze was the center of sightings of unidentified flying objects.

Quite a history indeed! Adds a bit more punch to Dave's mutterings .... yes it does. lol

Odd things in the sky! photos from Dave

These are some of the devices that Dave mentioned in this weeks show (#80) Very odd looking well.....satellites? They are not aircraft but are they satellites? If you haven't listened to this week's interview with Dave, take a listen....I haven't got a clue what these things are.

NASA ordered to 'fess up re 1965 UFO incident.

Ufologists take the slogan of the Quaker State seriously. "You've got a friend in Pennsylvania!" the motto goes; many think that one of those friends just might be from another planet!

In 1965 residents of the town of Kecksburg, about 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, watched a mysterious object fly across their skies and crash, then saw its wreckage taken away by tight lipped federal agents from the American Air Force, Army and NASA.

Sticking to their "it was a meteor" meme, the agencies had pretty much brushed the matter under the rug. But, get this: Pennsylvania's other official slogan is "Memories last a life time" and indeed, four years ago journalist Leslie Kean of New York City sued NASA demanding full disclosure on the mysterious crash. Surprise: the judge found in her favor!

At least, US District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan rejected NASA's request to throw the case out of court. The resulting negotiations led to the agency promising last week that it will conduct a more comprehensive search.

Will they find anything? Stay tuned.

Thanks Shaun Saunders to bringing this to our attention

Dr. Wernher von Braun was at Roswell during ufo crash

Now this is certainly interesting....not sure of the implications but it certainly is weird.

IN an World Exclusive article, Clark C. McClelland in The Canadian, states that Von Braun was present and examined the Roswell New Mexico site that was purported to be the crash site of a UFO. The article is quite long so I won't chop it up here, but it is worth a read. check it out

Thanks to Shaun Saunders for the post
