Geez, they could have at least waited to see what kind of bump they got (or didn't get) from the movie coming out. But these FOX suits also killed Dark Angel (Jessica who? Just another pretty face...), Tru Calling, The Tick, The Lone Gunman, etc. Why dies anybody even pitch sci-fi to these fools?

Yep - you're quite right...why spend money developing 2 seasons, and then dump it when there is a distinct possibility of some free tie-in, big media marketing?

You know what though I didnt like it. Way too silly of a story line. I kept expecting a Jar-Jar terminator or a terminator to stop in mid run and start selling me mountain dew or whatever. It was sci-fi for the ADD generation all fluff and convoluted to appear deep, and Im sorry Sarah Conner was supposed to be one of the most wanted criminals in the US, especially southern California and where does she hide out? Why in southern California of course! Apparently being a wanted criminal is less important then having a good tan. And if the movie is seriously going to be PG-13...well there you have it, Jar-Jar terminator!

I wonder if that is the reason science fiction just isnt doing well on tv anymore. If ever.... People watching tv SF seem to abhor a story arc. That the whole season was basically one long arc, must have really drove the watchers to distraction. And to throw in a time travel element where their actions today directly effect the future which in turn supports a muliverse view of time travel cause and effect must have really flummoxed a good portion. That's what time travel is though....convoluted! Silly? Dark and painful yes, but Knight Rider was silly... there is a word I can't honestly apply to T:SCC

yes silly! It was not a good show by any means. after the first three episodes it fell apart fast. A clear case of too much too soon I thought. I can follow a story arc as long as it belongs to a good story. There are other ways of giving a story depth besides arcs. Very few shows and movies now have the ability to stick on topic and resist the temptation to bring arc after meaningless arc. Its a way overused writing tool. It too often dilutes the central plot which is left to tread water while they add another piece of artistic license,IMHO. Well that makes cent 2 of 2 for me.
