Yes sir, you read that correctly - a TSA supervisor confiscated a raygun belt buckle belonging to one Sean Malone - Her reason being - terrorism! Wait, it gets better!
When Mr. Malone pressed the TSA agent for an explanation of the confiscation, the agent's response was a hypothetical one of waving said belt buckle in a threatening manner. This of course has to take place in front of a policeman in hopes he doesn't know the difference between a toy and as my mom would say his touchhole (use your imagination.....)
Sean has the bulk transcribed in this Boing Boing article HERE
Don't you feel safer flying now?!!!

I,personally, want anything even resembling a weapon to be confiscated. It is not the times to have a dismissive attitude. I want these guys to suspect everything!
That's all well and good Anon, but hummmm it didn't take long for you to deal yourself out of the mix. It is not THEM it is US that is being robbed of basic civil liberties. And where does it stop? What next? Maybe a picture of a hand gun. You know you could cut out the picture and glue it to cardboard. Under the right conditions, someone might mistake it for a real weapon.....
Then what about weapons they don't see, like me. You can't confiscate my hands and feet, nor my mind. Yet a toy ray gun is considered dangerous. What we have is a bunch of cowards, afraid of their own shadows, and us becoming slowly more 1984'd. What a way to get back here again. Been taking it easy and totally missed this one. I am so done with flying, ever. It used to be fun, now it's a prison sentence if you sneeze wrong.
with you 100% Kall. Air travel has become a den of suspicion where you are guilty from the get go.
