The Cape Has Been Cleaned, Folded and Put Away...

Anyone out there watching "The Cape"? The plot is well worn and contrived but in a nut-shell, a cop is accused of committing heinous crimes. To clear his name he must make everyone believe that he is dead, even his wife and his young son. To clear his name he takes on the persona of a comic book character that his son adores called "The Cape", a mysterious masked and hooded vigilante.

NBC has been hosting the series staring David Lyons, Keith David, Summer Glau among others was scheduled for 13 episodes but rather quickly, NBC, reduced the order to 10 and then outright canceled the series. In an odd twist, NBC will not even air the final episode will only be available as an online exclusive.

The weirdest thing to come out of this latest cancellation are fans speculating that Summer Glau has a curse on her! lol I am serious! Glau fans unhappily point out that every show she has been a part of has been canceled! OH MY! lmao!

Whedon Want Glau to Play in Dollhouse!

Summer Glau fan should take this news extremely well. Now that Summer is no longer kicking terminator ass, Dollhouse's Josh Whedon would like to get her on board with his pet project of late, Dollhouse.

But before you get all hot and sweaty thinking of all the Doll parts she would be good in, Whedon says he is not considering her for another part that would entail her being mind wiped and reprogrammed.....sounds familiar huh?

Not much news - but there is this article in IO9 by C. Anders that speculates about what parts would be interesting. Glau has said she would like to play a normal person but if you have been watching Dollhouse, you know there are damn few "normal" people.

Summer Glau (Makes Me Feel Fine)

John Anealio nails down another great Sci-fi inspired tune called Summer Glau. The name alone should perk you right up, but the inside scoop on this neat tune is even better. First off you know Summer from her appearances on Serenity and The Sarah Connors Chronicles. Well a few months back, John DeNardo of SF Signal composed lyrics to "Summer Glau (Makes Me Feel Fine) as he put it: mostly as a way of destroying the association between her name and the Seals and Crofts song, "Summer Breeze". Along comes John Anealio, musician and proprietor of Sci Fi Songs, a website where John collects his recordings inspired by the works of speculative fiction. John has taken my Summer Glau lyrics and set them to an original tune of his own."

Gratuitous posting alert!!! yep, I have seen the first two episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles and I have to say that I am not overly impressed. Wait though, compared to what the Sci-Fi channel kept and threw away? No more SG-1 but ran Flash Gordon? Yeah if we want to compare the crack heads' over at Sci-Fi programming, well Sarah Connor Chronicles is award winning television! And so what is the big draw for TSCC? Anyone who has watched, knows already. But for the uninitiated, Summer Glau late of Fire Fly is now John Connor's ass kicking mecha body guard. And without trying to sound to punny....Summer has really come into her season. In Fire Fly, I totally bought her character, not that her newest gig, calls for much acting range - However Summer walks that fine edge where she always appears to be not quite "getting it" and still remain believable as an emotionless killer. ( after putting 2 into the black market id provider, she replies to to Sarah's query as to why she did it "Because I knew you couldn't" done completely deadpan...) You have to admit, as a terminator, she is a complete package. Ok Ok, I just wanted an excuse to post a pic! I confess!
