Supergirl's Fate May Already Be Sealed

Supergirl continues to hang in the balance, but the DC series could find a new home at The CW in time for season 2, according to deadline.

Switching from CBS to The CW would seemed like an already done affair.  Especially since CBS and CW co-own the series. What's more CBS happens to hold co-ownership of The CW with Warner Bros. Entertainment.  This, it would seem, blows the rumor that CBS wants more viewer-ships and leans closer to licensing fees – reportedly clocking in at upwards of $3 million per episode could seal the switch-over.

"The Killing Joke" due out in Animation!

Arguably one of the best comic books  (The Killing Joke)  is due out in animation, in the summer of 2016.

What makes it even more exciting is the stars of the animated feature, Mark Hamell as the Joker and Kevin Conroy as Batman.

Here is a short featurette  of the upcoming film:

Guess Who ISN'T In the New Justice League Movie

Latino Review have told IO9 some pretty damning info from insiders over at Warner Bros.
First off here is the roster of super-heroes in the film:
  • Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash.

Quite a line-up huh?  So what is wrong with this picture?  Hint, it is someone that DC comics has pushed hard the past few  years, in fact one has to wonder why Geoff Johns would not be jumping right up and down with this omission, considering that this character has been his pet project for some time now.

Hell I will be the first to admit that this character was never on of my favs in the comics or in his own tv cartoon series....got it yet?

'Booster Gold' New Syfy Series?

Hey, comic book fans.... have you heard that the character Booster Gold is heading towards a meeting with the SyFy channel with a series in the offing.

Not really being up on the minor players in the DC universe I had to check who this Booster Gold was. The Booster Gold character is from the future and it seems he is known as "Booster" for his shameless self promotion. He uses his knowledge of future events to make himself into a "hero". Even when he becomes someone of real powers, it is difficult for other heroes to take his at all serious.

He was created in 1986 for DC Comics by Dan Jurgens.

Airlock Alpha writes:
  • There is no casting information available as of yet for the pilot, but it's unlikely that Eric Martsolf, who played Booster Gold on "Smallville," will make the move over. (pictured)

Trailer for new X-Men animated Series

Xmen fans? Anime fans? ok, from Anime News Network via IO9 is news that Madhouse Animation will release an anime version of the X-Men. The article states that "The show debuts on Animax in Japan on April 1 and will air on G4 later this year." Now I am not throwing stones here or trying to start a flame war, but this certainly is not for your average nine year old. Neither is it a cartoon. Being animated doesn't immediately equate it to children's entertainment exclusively.

Here is a trailer for the program...sorry no dub, no sub...straight up.

Wonder Woman to the big screen - you know, the one in your living room...

Tim sends in an article from Yahoo tv that says in effect that Wonder Woman is still destined for the screen, but it seems its the TV screen now. As tim puts it - "Wonder Woman might return to the small screen (apparently the movie written by Joss Whedon has been tanked)" .... hummm harsh Tim....harsh.

But the core of truth here is that after nearly a decade of attempts to launch a big-screen version, Warner Bros. Television is developing a reboot of the DC comic book heroine and the unlikely person tagged to bring it to the screen nearest you is none other than David E. Kelley. Kelly may potentially write and produce the project.

No actress has been singled out as WW but interest has been expressed from actresses ranging from Angelina Jolie to Megan Fox. We shall see it would seem....

The Iron Man Trailer or why I am now a slut for Sci-Fi

ok, look, I didn't want to get onto this web wide band wagon of "ooooh have you seen the new Iron Man trailer" expecially since I hate Robert Downey Jr. as Stark. Yeah, I know the hype, "oh he is the perfect choice, they are both hyped up drug abusin alkies!" but come on! Downey as the weapons genius Stark?!!! uhhhhh NO! But I finally in a weak moment broke over and watched the trailer, mixing AC/DC and Black Sabbath, plus explosions?! I am so in! So the main might not thrill me, but the movie looks like it is going to kick some serious ass. Check out the trailer....What? oh yeah... I know, I am a sci-fi slut now too.
