Okay, you know there was a time back in high school, when I would have known every story, novel, and author listed.
And now, well I just suck. I know 2 of them, that's it. Being an adult is for the birds. No time to do anything unless you are rich. I need to figure out how to do that. Too much going unread by me these days.

I know Kall! It sux big time...Even as late as the start of this blog - I use to be able to keep track. For me though it was easier because there were so few outlets for the writers. Now with the pro, semi pro and amateur publications it is difficult to find and follow all the stories. Hell if you know 2 I would guess you are well ahead of the game.

I knew 2 because of research into things I came across them. Never read anything by them though, just knew the names. But yeah, with all the new outlets for writers, I'm not sure it is possible to keep up anymore. I'm still wondering where to send my novel first when finished, if Dell shoots me down that is. I'm not even sure if standard publishing houses are still the way to even go or not, but I'm going that way first.

one way is to seek out the podcasts and bloggers, make sure they they know of or use the story in some way that gets it in front of the public. That keep the work out there and in the hands of voters. Simple enough concept, but I have had authors say "I don't GIVE AWAY my work" oh well. Still that is a problem. Many bloggers and podcasters are working with little or no budgets. I am lucky because I found people that enjoy what I do for some reason, plus having a radio station program also helps. And it is the same for the writer. they either are committed to creative commons or they shop it around an hope it catches the interest of the awards committees.
