Look, I am not going to wax eloquent of the genius here or the failings there.....I just want you to watch the damn video.... Am I saying that you have failed personally as a human being ... no.. But for those of us that have seen it before, I offer up a reminder....for those that haven't then listen to a truely great man put things into perspective for a moment....that's all I ask.....

I agree with you about Sagan and his classic statement here, though I wish it had been accompanied by the original video, instead of this more divisive, political bit.
To tell the truth, this showed up in Jokeroo video list first and I posted this one for the music, and believe me, my intentions were not political just a moving monologue that everyone should share. Have you got a better version? There are several on YouTube, Hell I will change it out, I don't care. Let me know.

I know you weren't being political (except of course pro-space, pro-environment)! No need to change it, I'm sure we'll all see a googleplex more political statements (many far less subtle) before November.

You nailed it Dave! I was moved so much and I had seen it before but it just echoed my mindset at that moment. At that moment it was all so bloody obvious and that so many just don't see it or will not attempt to understand. A mote caught in a sun beam. How can that NOT speak to your soul!?
