Well if you were wondering what Katee Sackhoff, late of "Battlestar Galactica" as the hotshot pilot Starbuck, was up to post Galactica, it seems she has signed on to NBC's "Bionic Woman" remake, which is being led by BSG's Eick. The pilot will star Michelle Ryan as bionic woman Jaime Sommers, and it seems Sackhoff will not appear until the second series of episodes. It's not clear what Sackhoff's role would be outside of the fact that she will be an evil bionic woman. She apparently is being billed as a guest star which could mean only a one-time appearance.

So, what's happening with galactica? Is it finished, or undergoing a change of cast?
I think the writers are a bit to close to the insanity of galactica. I can't imagine killing off a pivotal character as "starbuck" but as I see it, Galactica still has another season to go that has already been approved by the Sci-fi channel. After that, your guess is as good as mine. Sci-fi has a track record of taking down some of their best shows for programming that will generate larger numbers...So SG1 is out, wrassllin is in.
matter of fact I just read that sci-fi has extended BSG to 22 episodes in the fourth season...so that is looking good.
Here in Australia BG was moved around in its timeslot (which they also did to Star Trek Voyager until there was no one left watching) until the last episode - season 2 - was recenlty aired on a Sunday night at about 11.30 pm....
So we're way behind, in many ways.
Because episodes were only sporadically shown, I waited to X-mas for the 2nd season boxset and watched them back to back.
That's so weird...why would sci-fi play games with programming in AU like that? I knew they were running Voyager but your saying that they were running both at the same time? why make it more difficult than usual. I guess USA is supposed to get "first crack" at the show? Different adverts and stuff, but I would think that the biggest draw would be if it were all on the same time and night...But thats me. I have trouble figuring out what Sci-fi channel is up to
Not sci fi channel in Aus, but free to air.
Oh wow! Syndicated?! That leads me to ask, why is everyone so worried about how well the show will syndicate when its already being widely distributed? Ok, thanks guy, something else I didn't know. But I can see now where the frustration comes from...you have every pimple faced programming geek playing with the schedule! Makes you want to break out the big cal. and find a high building.....
