Jumping From Low Earth Orbit?
Felix Baumgartner's jump from about 127,000 feet was amazing but, it wasn't from orbit—not even low Earth orbit.
Would this re-entry suit designed by Bulgarian artist dfacto work. It is an amazing idea, but who knows? It is cool though right?
I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would want to jump out of a perfectly good spaceship. (Had to say it.) Seriously, it could prove useful as a means of escape in an emergency. Curious to see where this goes.
I have to agree. Especially when you consider how long it takes us to get anything into space. Rescue ops are usually needed to be done quickly, not waiting days for a dippy rocket to be ready. Either way, it is something that has to be looked into.

Come on guys! I can bet they said the same thing about sky diving. It is what it is for its own sake!
ReplyDeleteWill it be done often....never, but there will be the hard core few that will jump at the chance to do that kind of dive
